about

A design studio located in Mumbai, 500 B.C. makes handcrafted lights and objects that are geometric, playful and inherently experimental - an interaction of light, form and colour.

Drawing inspiration from film, travel, art and the everyday, the designers aim to create pieces that maintain a balance between aesthetics and function.  They are crafted with meticulous attention to detail and finish.  Sculpted from a variety of materials, they inhabit the mind as well as the spaces they occupy.  Vacillating between Bauhaus and post-modern design, the objects are open to interpretation.

There is a keenness to explore new materials and experiment with new processes to create beautiful pieces that endure.
